trip #5 !!!

i am so excited. like really really excited : )

there is something about a place being familiar... it makes everything feel less overwhelming and intimidating.

some things are going to be different:

1. there are girls at the kisii rescue center!!!! it is officially operational... seeing the entire property coming alive with purpose is going to be amazing!!!

2. last november when stephen, lydia, davis and myself laid our hands on the literal cornerstone of the new property, it was a barren field... not any more!!!!!! i cannot wait to see the community center, water system, and my home! so much has been done since our last visit, my mind and heart are ready to burst! the anticipation!

3. my twin deb born nine years before me will be watching everything from Heaven. i hope she can still stalk me through the flight tracker app 🥹

some things that are going to be the same:

1. lydia is joining me! this was relatively last minute, and i couldn't be happier that she is crazy enough to do it again 😋 she will be with me for half the trip and then flying to ethiopia to see her birth family after 16 years. just incredible!

2. God. He is always the same. while He never changes, He keeps giving me grace after grace to change and grow. when i step back and ponder all that He has done in my heart and life over the last three years, well, i don't have words to say thank you enough. cliche aside, i am blessed 🙌
