yesterday was another sweet day! at itubo, we had a small conference room that held all the supplies.... i think Jesus kept multiplying 😳.
we loaded all the rest of the supplies into the bus to take to the lutheran bishop named joseph. he oversees the diocese in this region. he and his wife hyline have five biological and eighteen orphans. their hearts are ginormous 🩷. both hyline and jackie are incredibly strong women. haven't met many like them. the respect and obedience the kids showed... wow. God's hand is on them, and they both have husbands that are men of God that are in awe of their women and outwardly say it. that just melts me 💕
the bishop was so very grateful for everything we brought. we filled their conference room, and he will distribute to those in his area with the most need.
then we went to their home compound and were welcomed with singing and dancing of "we welcome our visitors!!!" they had shortcake cookies and cokes waiting for us. each child introduced him or herself. and then we played outside! i played beachball with several of them for a really long time and my heart was so full. dale brought a large parachute and many were playing with that. some were playing with the soccer balls. balls were flying everywhere. the kids were so sad to see us leave.
i am in love with dalton.
and we stopped by the property and the washroom has the concrete floor poured 😁. phoebe hung with the kids at the fence. she is leaving part of her heart with them 💔
and the crazy bus continues to be such a big part of this trip. conversations and music are constant. you become very close when you spend this much time in close quarters day in and day out for two weeks. little is not revealed 😉
we got back to itibo and agnes made us personal pan pizzas x big. it was stinking delicious! esther and i were first ones done 😆.
this is our last night here. feeling melancholy. i want to go home and i want to stay.
reentry is gonna be hard.

The picture of you walking hand in hand speaks volumes. Showing that each of you are in His hands by being there and openly sharing the touch of another human. Praying for safe travels back to Indy and for time to decompress and appreciate the vast world where you and your girls have made a difference. Love you all!
ReplyDeleteLove all the smiles and happiness. Thanks to you and the others who have helped make them happen. Stay safe and hang on to the wonderful memories you’ve made there. God Bless.
