days 20 and 21

we were pretty tired from monday.... okay, i was tired.

esther has done so great on this trip. she is much more confident than ever before. her comfort zone has expanded greatly, and i am so proud of how she has handled everything. it is a culture shock, and she hasn't flinched even once.

tuesday we went by the school where eugene, evans, and james attend now. we met the administrator and their 3rd grade teacher. i love these boys. bella said they were very proud to have us there. their expressions mean the world to me!

then we drove to oyugis to look for bedding for morah and zipporah's new beds, and had lunch and of course, coffee. and a mango smoothie to die for.

and so many other small things that happen in a day, but those were highlights i recall from two days ago.

wednesday, i have a headache.all.day.long. no idea why. maybe just heat and constant sounds all around? i realize when i am here just how silent the farm is. it is rare, veryyy rare, to have quiet at the rescue center.... laughing, talking, construction, cars and motorbikes, and music. lots of music.

esther goes out all day with olivia, bella, and alex running errands, checking on progress of morah's next projects. me? i sit in relatively dark watching you tube videos to reteach myself macrame. ten girls here for class from 4:00-6:00 so i gotta learn fast 🥴

and no electricity continues.....

these people. they are my people ❤️
